Welch talks about union deal in GOP-produced video
Here's a video of state Sen. Jason Welch, a Bristol Republican, talking about the deal that Gov. Dannel Malloy struck with state union negotiators recently:

Mr. Welch somehow failed to mention the two year pay freeze and ten years of mandatory retiree health plan contributions that were agreed to. I wonder why.
Mr. Welch also disingenuously attacks the health management plan as having no immediate impact and therefore dismisses it as not worthwhile. At many private firms, future employee benefit costs are counted as a liabilities. Reducing those future costs has an immediate impact on the bottom line.
