GOV. MALLOY FOR IMAGINE NATION FUNDS
State Representative Frank Nicastro (D-79th
District) thanked Governor Malloy and the State Bond Commission for
approving the release of $137,000 in state funding for the Imagine
Nation Preschool Learning Center in Bristol. The funding
was approved by the State Bond Commission at their monthly meeting July
26 at the Legislative Office Building.
“It is state money being spent in the right place
for the right purpose, our children,” said Rep. Nicastro. “Their
preschool is a well-run operation that prepares young people for
kindergarten and beyond. The Imagine Nation is a very well
deserving group whose program supports working families.”
The Bristol Imagine Nation Preschool Learning
Center will use the funds to upgrade its security system and make needed
renovations and handicap accessible improvements.
The preschool is located in the
Imagine Nation Children's Museum at 1 Pleasant St. in Bristol and
provides daily access to all the learning and interactive centers of the
museum.
