New version of the Bristol video featuring Jason Flores

Whatever else you think of Jason Flores and his rap song about Bristol, you have to admit that the production values on this video are terrific....

I wonder if the guy from Omni Cards and Comics plan to sue this guy for libel? I've found nothing in any public information that says this guy is sex offender. Maybe instead of continuing to promote Flores Steve, you should look into that. And to whether this tree was really on city property. You are an investigative reporter, right? And as such, isn't part of your job to background potential political candidates, as this guy claims to be. I'm sure interested voters would like to know what his evidence is for publicly calling someone a child molester. You're obviously willing to allow your blog to further this public and possibly false accusation. If the guy isn't a child molester, shouldn't you call Flores out on the carpet and ask him what his proof is? Why not find out and report what the real story is? Like I said, I haven't seen any public information that would support Flores' claim. And while you're at it, find out what the real story behind the tree is. I'm quite sure this tree isn't on city property.

After all, isn't honesty among our political figures important to us all. If Flores has falsely publicly accused someone of being a child molester, and has blamed the Mayor for failing to cut down a tree that isn't actually on city property, I think we can all discount him as a serious candidate now, don't you?

If Flores really enters the race, you can bet there will be some real research on him. But until then, it seems premature, given all the other things happening.
I did a story on that tree, though, a couple of years ago. Here's a link:
http://bristolnews.blogspot.com/2009/07/hickory-nuts-driving-resident-nuts.html.
It doesn't quite answer the question, however, since at the time officials weren't quite sure who owned the tree.

Fair enough. But you have mentioned Flores multiple times on your blog. If he is calling someone a child molester, don't you feel you should verify this before you continue to promote him and link people to his video through your blog? It seems to me this would be responsible journalism.

If this kid is elected mayor.....I'm moving out. I wouldn't be able to brave the sight of this kid destroying our town's reputation. And if you really want to make it big in the music industry Jason; loose the Fubu wear and throw out that ridiculous fedora. And Rainbow Bright needs to figure out what color she wants her hair. Dark is in sweety...its winter.

The video is well done; that's the story I'd like to see. I suspect the music track is too derivative, and the subject matter too hometown-centric, to find a really large audience. However, for the genre, this performance ain't bad. Bravado, boast, and pose. This is what you get with rap. Show business: no show, no business. Most people understand it's a comic book for the ears, and they just go with the flow, leaving it to the lawyers to sort out the truth.

Every political candidate has a past that the public wants to dig up. At least he's not hiding it, like most of the scumbag politicians out there. Don't judge someone on their past and don't judge him on his lyrics. It's called freedom of speech and a way of expression. Maybe you're just the child molester trying to save your ass. Who knows

At least he's honest about his past, unlike the majority of dishonest politicians in this state. Don't just judge a person on their past either, people change. As for your comment, you just seem to be perseverating on that one aspect of his song.

Hey! Leave Rainbow Bright alone! Is it that she's cute, young, slim and she can sing and you're ugly, old, dumpy and can't hold a tune, hmmmmm? sweetie?

Now, go take this pointy hat and go sit in the corner = )
