Malloy is the next governor
Barring some unexpected development, Dan Malloy is the winner. But it's not official yet. ***** Copyright 2010. All rights reserved. Contact Steve Collins at scollins@bristolpress.com

and you commit the same mistake the Secretary of the State made- not official but I'll report it anyway! So the question is as a reporter do you make news or report news?
It's the secretary of state's job to announce official results. It's the media's job to report the news. That the count in Bridgeport is finally over is news. And only a moron would ignore the reality that the count there puts Malloy over the top. That doesn't mean that Tom Foley won't challenge it and it doesn't mean that Foley may not be right about whatever challenge he might choose to bring. It only means that Malloy has the votes. The secretary of state will almost certainly certify Malloy as the winner today. You really think the press should just ignore that?
I'm sure you're correct in assuming this Steve. What's interesting, if not concerning, is the fact the majority of people in Bristol voted for Foley, yet the majority (albeit slim) in Connecticut voted for Malloy. That means the state of Connecticut is "left" of Bristol (a city with greater than 2 to 1 ratio of Democrats to Republicans! Who are these people? Can you imaging what Connecticut will be in 20 years if BRISTOL is more conservative than over half the state?
Steve: the 8:26 poster proves that total ignorance does not stop people from expressing an opinion. Just like the Republican bozo's who are blaming the Secretary of State for Bridgeport's screwup. Hey, GOP, I thought you were all about taking responsibility? Well, how about holding the Bridgeport registrars accountable? It was their job to obtain enough ballots.
O-Dumb the liberal, government-groupie, Democrat politcal hack, Bysiewicz lover does get it. Obviously neither he nor she believes in the phrase "the buck stops here". She may be able to lay the blame on the Registrars but it looks like a cop-out and she looks terrible.
I'd like to correct my post from November 5, 2010 2:58 PM.
O-Dumb does NOT get it. He is such a hypocrite (but he's too dumb and too partisan to realize it). If the shoe was on the other foot (such as with Harris in Florida), he would be bashing away (just as I'm sure he was in 2000, if he was actually old enough to vote then).
Harry Truman, one of the most over-rated Presidents in recent revisionist-history (liberal revisionist-historians seem to forget that he chose not to run against Ike, because he knew he would have been pummeled) said "The buck stops here". A hero of many Democrats and Americans (sometimes one in the same), Truman took responsibility for the offices, policies and results that were or occured under his watch.
Bysiewicz's actions have been indefensible. She is a disgraceful political hack who's career is OVER. GOOD RIDDANCE!
The miracle working Dems always find a trunk load of ballets somewhere. First it was dead people voting; then folks voting multiple times, now the Democrat advantage is photocopying and finding ballets. They magically appear now with really no oversight. Funny how Dems also look to discredit the military ballets. I would be so proud to be a Dem. It's just a means to an end, so it's fine. LOL
Dems didn't send 4 miilion jobs off shore and loot social security to fight wars, they also were not the wall street slicksters who helped put this country in the toilet. Linda, Meg, and Carly spent 200 milion of there own money to screw the rest of the country like they did their workers!
It was such a coincidence that mr. obama was in Bridgeport just prior to election night . Maybe he left some of his Illinois election 'specialists' behind to 'assist' in the voting proceedures

I hope Foley challenges it. Something stinks.

I don't trust any results that come out of bridgeport. the total vote was a disaster.
The question is was it pure stuidity or orchestrated?

Does this mean that we get rid of Ward?

Is that why she changed us to paper ballots, because they're easier to tamper with? Gotta get those old voting machines back.
Malloy spent alot of time in Bristol with Ward. Ward couldn't even carry his own town for the Malloy. Tells you what people are thinking of Ward!
