I just stopped by @ the church in Terryville and there were only a couple cars in the parking lot . I'm not sure everyone knows they are supposed to go to church to vote.
What you stated was certainly not true at the American Legion. There were two lines, Republican and Democrat.
If you are a registered Republican, you went to the left side (ironically) and they crossed your name off and gave you a Republican ballot. The ballot giver would not give you a GOP ballot if you were not on the GOP list.
The same held true (I assume) for the Democrat's side.
I found your comment that people apparently did not know that they should go to church to vote, hilarious.
You possibly did not intend it to be, but being the cynic that I am, it's an oxymoron (to me) that a House of Worship is the place to vote for "politicians."
Where did you vote. At Green Hills School you had to go to the appropiate table depending on how you are registered (Dem or Rep)and show your identification. Once it was verified that you were registered as a Dem or Rep you were handed the appropriate ballot depending on how you were registered (White for Rep or Yellow for Dem).
gop gal: that is the process in a general election. If you don't like it too damn bad. It helps to keep order at the polling place especially during buy times.

It's fairly active at Edgewood School. It does not compare to a regular election day, but it does seem to be more busy than other primaries.
The rain could mess things up a little, but if one had every intention of voting today, rain should not deter a vote.

I find it interesting the way Bristol is handling the ballots .
First you go an identify yourself then you go to a table and CHOOSE either a democrat ballot OR a republican ballot .
This does NOT comply with the regulations in connecticut that require party registration to vote for a particular canidate .
Bristol seems to be rapidly approaching the credibility that Waterbury 'enjoys'.

So the process was pretty secure and easy.
Went to vote after dinner at Stafford. Found it interesting they did not yell my name and address tonight. They just yelled I was a Repulbican!

some moron actually tried to take my ballot from me to scan it .
one look into my eyes and he understood it was more important to him to see tomorrow than to place his hand on my PRIVATE ballot .
