Mayor Art Ward said he's had three lawyers approach him about filling vacant or soon-to-be available slots in the city attorney's office.
He said the city will advertise the openings soon. He expects to receive plenty of resumes.

Should be good for some campaign contributions.
ReplyDeleteSo now the million dollar question (or should I say $ 33,000 question), will Ward make a play to put Krawiecki back as the top city lawyer (ie: Dale Clift's job and his old job).
ReplyDeleteThe whole thing is really interesting... why a died in the wool democrat would be going to bat for such a polarizing republican figure.
Just don't be a lawyer in Bristol - Mayor will overlook your resume.
ReplyDeleteEd will pull Arties strings, just like Kloko does.
ReplyDeleteAnd Artie will collect the pay.
Out of town lawyers Ward?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Kloko know any lawyers?
ReplyDelete"why a died in the wool democrat would be going to bat for such a polarizing republican figure." Why indeed. The city council democrats said "no" to Krawiecki in 2008 and Ward's goon squad on the DTC attacked them for it. "What a difference a day makes..."
ReplyDeleteUntil Ward appoints another part time lawyer, Krawieki will run the show.
ReplyDeleteAnn Baldwin, watch out!
Any update on the advertising for an attorney?
ReplyDeleteOr was it just a sham again?
