Lieberman to retire? It appears so.

The Washington Post and many other news organizations are reporting that U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman, Connecticut's senior senator, won't seek reelection in 2012, clearing the field for an old-fashioned showdown between the Republicans and Democrats.

  3. About time. This is another career politician that wouldn't be able to run an apple cart, let alone a real business. When he lost his own party's primary he had to drop his party to ensure he wouldn't end his career early and be forced to work a regular job.
