Rydingsward Qualifies for Democratic Primary for Registrar of Voters Position
Mary Rydingsward qualified on Wednesday for Bristol’s Democratic Primary ballot. Rydingsward needed to obtain signatures of 685 Bristol Democrats in fourteen days. Her campaign team turned in 893 valid signatures. Rydingsward’s bid for the Democratic Registrar of Voters position is now official.
Rydingsward also received support Sunday from Denise Merrill, House Majority Leader and the Democrats’ endorsed candidate for Secretary of State. Merrill walked with Rydingsward door-to-door Sunday on Burton Drive chatting with local residents.
Local Registrars of Voters work closely with the Secretary of State who administers, interprets, and implements all state and federal laws pertaining to elections, primaries, nominating procedures, and voting rights. Merrill’s support, along with that of over 1,100 Bristol residents, is a great start as Rydingsward gears up for her primary campaign.

from what I am hearing, rydingswale switches parties whenever it suits her purpose anyhow, so no one will ever know which party she represents on any given day anyhow; something like "blowing in the wind."

ReplyDeleteI'm told that Mary has a lot of character issues which are soon to come out. Rumor has it, that she is a recently "terminated" State employee looking for a job. Do you know how bad one has to screw up to be terminated by the State of Connecticut? Did it have to do with fraud, embezellment, ethical issues, etc? I'm sure someone will look into and report on this.

There are two major groups to the DTC: Those in the party establishment who support Art Ward...
And those in the party establishment who don't support Art Ward.
I've been to DTC meetings and you know why I stopped going, because I got sick of the croynism. When a town committee seat is inherited, INHERITED from parent to child there is something seriously wrong.
This town is completely disconnected from its political parties.
People like Mary Rydingswald are doing what needed to be done a long time ago. They are getting past the gatekeepers and opening the party so EVERYONE who calls themselves a Democrat can be a part of the Democrat-ic party in Bristol.

You're implying that Nelson is nothing but a Ward pawn and the only reason he's running for Registrar is because his "puppetmaster" told him to. If you're a Ward supporter, you're not doing him any favors by coming to his "defense" in a battle that exists only in your fevered brain.
I think many are missing the fact that Matthews also voted for Mary. She is a sitting councilman..opps..women and voted against the Dem. Mayor's pick.
