I did get my flu shot. But I couldn't get one for H1N1 so, of course, that's the one that's socking Connecticut now. And me. I'm a little more alive today, at least for the moment.
I actually feel great myself after recovering from the flu due, I believe, primarily to the success I have had in life and the self-confidence I have in what I do and how I conduct myself.
Only Concerned Conservative would think that "having self-confidence and success in life" (instead of a healthy immune system) is the reason he recovered from the flu...what an egotistical twit!

Although I do have a post-grad degree, I'm not a doctor. But I do believe the "immune system" is what prevents us from contracting the flu. General good health is what helps a virus run it's course through a body normally. I also believe strong mental health contributes to the health of the body. And yes I possess both including (obviously) a superior intellect.
STEVE HOPE YOUR FEELING BETTER. STEVE story to look into what happen to main st restaurant that got the money and its a consignment shop. The story was it had to stay as a restaurant because of the city money. WHO SCREWED THIS ONE UP.
CC, obviously your post grad degree isn't helping. Your immune system doesn't "prevent" you from getting the flu. It attacks the invading viruses AFTER you've been infected...Einstein.
