Desi Deschaine, left, with a friend. More than a decade ago, I got to know Desi Deschaine, 29, as a high school kid who had humor and talent. I knew he was going places.
And he did.
Keeing up with him on Facebook, I saw how he became part of the political elite in Washington, D.C. and I felt proud of his success.
So it makes me awfully sad to read this story today that Desi's body turned up in Baltimore Harbor yesterday after some sort of boating accident, or whatever.
Damn it.

ReplyDeleteholy crap. i knew desi from high school. he was a wonderful, funny guy, and so kind. oh my god. i just can't believe this. its so shocking. this has been a terrible week for behs classes of 1997 and 1998, first with kim armbruster's untimely death and now desi's. i went to school with both of these people and know they will be sorely missed by friends and family. tragic!
