Seeking World War II vets for a story

Anyone out there who can help me find a few World War II veterans who are willing to tell a story about their experiences? I have an editor who wants me to write up a few vets' stories -- and I have to do it right away.
The other thing is that we need pictures of the vets whose stories are used both from during the war and today.

    You are free to state your opinion (those overrated veterans secured that for you)...no matter how stupid it is...maybe it would make more sense if it was written in Japanese???

    War is sooooooo ingrained in our national psyche that it's no surprise your brainwashed minds don't give it a second thought. Hence, unfortunately, the thoughtless cycle of acceptance continues. Yes Sir, may I have another... and another... and another... and another....

    There are a lot of quiet heroes in town and most of them don't frequent the Clubs. I hope you find them.

    I agree. Although these stories are interesting there are some locals (with questionable hero-qualifications) that seem to love to get there names in the paper as "war heros". For example no combat experience etc.

    The quiet folks (men) who appreciate recognition but would rather not relive their personal horror (of war) are the ones we should respect the most. Those people are usually the genuine heroes. Although the real heroes are the ones who didn't make it back.
