There's nothing too all-fired exciting on tap for this month's gathering of the City Council, but sometimes those prove the most interesting meetings of all, because officials don't feel obliged to plow through the agenda.
I'll be there, trying to stay awake, in case the fireworks fly.
And if they don't -- which is what I expect -- I'll be doing my best to make whatever they do sound interesting.
I don't plan to blog live, by the way, but feel free to check in for updates this evening. If something happens that's noteworthy, I'll try to get it online quickly.

who is acting mayor since our mayor took a vacation? that could make it interesting....
ReplyDeleteFrank Nicastro!
ReplyDeletewill be a warm up since he will be our new Mayor come Nov.!!
What leadership! Take a vacation during a council meeting!
ReplyDeleteReal leadership is also knowing when you need a break. Good for Mr. Ward for taking some well-deserved time off!
ReplyDeleteJust to clear the air -- Ward is celebrating a milestone anniversary with his wife on a cruise in the Caribbean.
ReplyDeleteNo problem if Ward takes a vacation: his press corp is still on the job!
ReplyDelete9:18 poster,
ReplyDeletetime off for what? He hasn't done anything?
Oh..i forgot he gave the unions boys a nice raise!
I think Ward is in Alaska, trying to make up with Gov. Palin.
ReplyDeleteDress Rehearsal for Nicastro!
ReplyDeleteNicastro is the man!
ReplyDeleteVote Nicastro for Mayor in 09!
8:00 ~ We've already been there, done that. We learned a very costly lesson...time to move forward. Nocastro!
ReplyDeleteHeard Kenny showed up for about 15 minutes, got seen and left.
ReplyDeleteBut, he didn't slam the door on his way out, this time.
