Obama running strong in presidential contest

Here's what a consensus of the presidential polling is showing now, which has to be discouraging to the Republicans with less than a week left:

  1. Been watching PMS-NBC too much Steve.

"TRICK OR TREAT: GALLUP SAYS OBAMA +2"...
"Rasmussen Obama +3"..."This is the first time McCain has been within three points of Obama in more than a month"
    http://www.drudgereport.com/

And then from The Washington Post:
"Accuracy Of Polls a Question In Itself: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/28/AR2008102803675_pf.html

But Obama-nation people can Keep "HOPE" Alive!

  2. The poll you're referencing is a farce.

McCain has closed within a few points.

The "silent majority" is rising. America is waking up to the fact that Obama is a left-wing radical and a fraud.

May God help the USA if this clown, Obama, get's elected.

  3. When you open the page from "Pollster", you first see two advertisers. One is MSNBC, one of the most slanted, biased news sources in favor of Obama and the other is some quack sit called "people in the middle for Obama".

What a joke. Cite a reliable source next time Steve.

  5. Pollster collects all the polling data that's available and averages it out to get the consensus view among those taking the polls. It appears to be about as accurate as any site can be.
It's certainly not "biased." It's just reporting what the polls say.

  6. (http://www.realclearpolitics.com) has soon-to-be President Obama enjoying a comfortable 5.9 point spread. They arrive at the number based on an average of nine polls.

Also, the Intrade Political "Securities" is tracking an overwhelming majority of people "betting" on Mr. Obama winning in a big, big way.

85% are trading contracts in Obama's favor
16% are trading contracts in McCain's favor

These facts do not foretell a promising outcome for the repugnant republicants, AKA the "silent majority." LOL :o)

    Vote OBAMA/BIDEN November 4!

  8. This is perfect: a majority of democrats in congress and the senate and a democrat for president. They can start working on the fairness doctrine and taking control of the investing of our 401k's and they can "spread the wealth" to put us all on a "level playing field". I feel much better now.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Gee, maybe Obama should have taken that $3,000,000 he spent on his 30 minute commercial and spread the wealth around instead?

Vote McCain - generate the wealth!

If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. OBAMA
Restore the inheritance tax Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

    NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA

New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!! 12. The United States can not borrow its way out of this mess. Someone needs to pony up some cash. The rich fat cats need to share the pain of the middle class Americans who have been getting hosed over the last eight dreadful years.

The supposed "facts and figures" cited are mostly BS and erroneous! You're employing more of the same fear mongering that continues to backfire in the face of repugnant republicants!

You need to face reality October 30, 2008 8:07 AM! We're all in this together, so stop trying to divide the nation with your spinning and distorting of the truth.

OBAMA is the person to UNITE this country through this very challenging time in our history. He will surround himself with the most capable of advisors and a cabinet that shares his vision of restoring the American dream that has, unfortunately, become a nightmare for the average citizen of this once great country! The time for change has arrived!

    Vote OBAMA/BIDEN on November 4!

  13. "The supposed "facts and figures" cited are mostly BS and erroneous!"

  17. Off shore drilling??? Hasn't it become abundantly clear that this was just a political ploy by the G.O.P that has failed miserably. Remember they said that gas would reach $5/gallon if we didn't do this right away? Well what happened? Gas has dropped a full dollar a gallon over the last month and without off-shore drilling. And Exxon Mobil just declared record profits today. C'mon do the math, because the math that the G.O.P has given us for the past 8 years has been remedial. McSame is just that McSame.

You're kidding, right??? All of the issues, all of the facts PROVING that Obama is wrong for the U.S., and this is the ONLY argument you can come up with???

  20. A Commander In Chief who can't get security clearance? None of us should be able to sleep well at night with an Obama win even remotely possible. At one time I was happy that Hillary was out of the race, but I'd give anything to have her back with what we know now about Obama!

  21. "The supposed "facts and figures" cited are mostly BS and erroneous"

Really? Which ones? Set us straight The facts stated are public record. You saying that they're BS and erroneous doesn't make it so. Back up your argument with some facts...or vote McCain!!!! ;0)

    ReplyDelete
  22. "McCain/Palin is the ONLY way to go!"

Technically, it's McCain/Palin ARE the ONLY way to go! Didn't you learn that in grade school?

Actually, considering the source of the statement, I'm not terribly surprised you didn't know that. It's really too bad you are both ignorant and supportive of losers. It's like a double whammy.

Maybe when OBAMA becomes President and increases federal funding for college students you will take advantage of it and get better educated.

All the best of luck to you, Bubbah! :o)

  26. @ October 30, 2008 8:49 PM

If I am to understand you correctly, then you are referring to McSame and Failin' Palin as one and the same entity. In other words, a singular being.

How odd to think that way. Since, it's widely known, based on direct statements from workers within the campaign, and observations from the media, that their relationship has deteriorated beyond repair. They are much like oil and water. They are not one.

Therefore, it's no wonder the slash used to separate the two names was interpreted as an "and." Please forgive my presumption. I thought it was common knowledge that Grumpy John and Sassy Sarah have developed contempt for one another. My bad.

To your final point about others needing Barack Obama's help: I don't know exactly for whom you are speaking, and you personally may not need "his kind" of help, but I can assure you that at least 100,000,000 Americans desperately need "his kind" of help. And it can't come fast enough! Have you visited a homeless shelter recently? Do it sometime, talk to the people there, then get back to me.

    Vote BARACK/BIDEN on November 4!

  30. "Unspeakable evil" ????

"with the leaders BARACK OBAMA & JOSEPH BIDEN will end the madness and take back our Country!!!"

Geez, are all you Obama people really this freaky? Last I checked, McCain wasn't growing horns and speaking in tongues or anything, and I must admit that I was totally unaware that the Country had gone mad or that we needed to take it back.

Obama seems like a nice enough guy, but he lacks the experience to run a country and he has a very questionable background. McCain seems like a nice enough guy who has a ton of experience and a lifetime of service to this country. I'm sure both want what they think is best for all of us.

What's scary is the Obama people who seem to be totally brainwashed...like the Hitler youth were back in the day...spouting all kinds of wacky accusations and justifying the questionable behavior of their leader...kinda like 9:35. Scary stuff!!!

    McCain/Palin - end the insanity!

  33. "The Messiah" is already backing off on his promises. He's not going to put gas in your tank after all, and people who make $150,000 are going to be hit with higher taxes, not just the $250,000 earners. He is going to "look at" pulling the troops out of Iraq (remember, "look at" is not a commitment) instead of the "ten month" plan he used to talk about.

Worse than backing off from promises he made his followers, he doesn't even deny his desire to make the US a socialist country. Instead he accuses McCain and Palin of selfishness! (Check who makes the least and gives the most to charity: Sarah Palin)

Some one on this blog likened Obama to JFK. Hardly. Don't you remember: "Ask not what your country can do for you..."?

    McCain/Palin, Real Americans!

    ReplyDelete
  34. "I was totally unaware that the Country had gone mad or that we needed to take it back."

Precisely, October 31, 2008 8:08 AM! That's exactly the point I was trying to make!

You don't have the slightest clue!

Moreover, Bush is an unelected fascist who (along with his friends controlling the military industrial complex) wants the MADNESS to continue under the puppet regime of McSame/Failin' Palin.

Desperate John and Sidekick Sarah have sold their souls for a shot at the White House.

I wonder if any close friend or family member can even still recognize McSame. He certainly isn't the same person who ran for president in the year 2000. Back then he stood for something. Back then he still had integrity, honor, dignity and sound judgment. He has abandoned them all, and subsequently he's being abandoned by those who once respected him.

It's all over for McSame & Failin' Palin! Once again, I hope they have their concession speech ready. :o)

    Vote OBAMA/BIDEN on November 4!

  35. Interesting point worthy of consideration concerning polls: when Ralph Nader and Bob Barr are factored into the equation then Barack Obama is leading John McCain by 7.8 points. :o)

  36. The madness in this country takes place in Chicago...something like 300 people murdered in the last six months! And we want this Chicagoland Senator trying to lead us when he can't take care of his own?

    McCain/Palin 2008!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Absolute NONSENSE November 1, 2008 2:28 PM!

The Great Senator Obama CANNOT be held responsible for the murder rate in Chicago.
    That's rubbish!

It's a well know fact, murder and larceny rise as more people become hopeless. If anyone should be held responsible for the increased crime in Chicago, and elsewhere, it's G"W"B and his posse of thieves! Their policies have been favoring the rich for eight years. Now, millions of good American people are in need of urgent help. And as a result, when help is not being made available, crime increases.

Think about it! When you're hungry, confused, hopeless, alone, and without resources, you do things you wouldn't normal do in order to survive.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden will restore hope and put people back to work. Three years from now we'll be celebrating a brighter, more hopeful, tomorrow based on respect and dignity for all Americans! It's the change we need...

    Vote OBAMA/BIDEN on November 4!

    ReplyDelete
  38. "The Messiah" says he plans to lay heavier taxes on businesses and people who earn $250,000 - no wait, $200,000 - no, now it's $150,000. Whatever, the end result will be a tremendous loss of jobs. This will not help your downtrodden murderers in Chicago or anywhere else.

If "The Messiah" is elected, three years from now we will be in the worst shape we've ever been in. Open your eyes. High taxes = job loss = breadlines = loss of dignity and respect.

If McCain is elected, we will not have to worry about breadlines. People can keep their jobs, we will have a strong military, we will have respect for life, we will still have our right to bear arms. And we will not become a socialist state, we will remain a free country, less vulnerable to attack by those who would want to "test" us.

I have just heard that McCain is closing in on Obama in the polls. I don't have a lot of faith in polls for the most part, but can't help being elated at this news. I really don't want to have to lay off my employees.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Obama, a Chicago area elected official, certainly must take some responsibility for the terrible murder rate there. What is he doing about it? I haven't even heard him talk about it. He's too busy calling McCain selfish and disparaging his military service. Obama is despicable.
