CBIA endorses Hamzy

Press release from the CBIA:

CBIA ENDORSES WILLIAM HAMZY FOR STATE HOUSE SEAT 78TH DISTRICT – BRISTOL & PLYMOUTH

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) today endorsed the re-election of William Hamzy for the state House of Representatives, representing the 78th District.

With the crisis in the financial markets further destabilizing the economy, and the state budget deficit rising, we need legislators now more than ever who will work to strengthen Connecticut’s economy and business climate.

“Bill exemplifies the leadership needed to revitalize our economy and move Connecticut forward,” said John R. Rathgeber, CBIA president and CEO. “He has the vision, experience and commitment needed to make our state a better place for all Connecticut residents."

Legislators elected to the 2009 General Assembly will face many critical issues, including job growth, health care, taxes, transportation, energy and workforce issues — all of which affect the health and vitality of Connecticut's economy and the quality of life for the people of the state.

“We encourage voters in the 78th District to re-elect Bill, who we believe will work to make decisions that will improve our economy and make Connecticut a better place to live and work,” said Rathgeber.

Hamzy, who lives in Terryville, is seeking election in the 78th District, which includes the towns of Bristol and Plymouth.

More about Hamzy can be found at CBIA’s election Web site,
CTbizVotes.com. A complete list of CBIA-endorsed candidates and information on key issues in the upcoming elections are also available on the site.

CBIA is the state’s largest business organization, with 10,000 member companies.

  1. The CBIA is a great organization. It is pro-growth, protecting businesses and thus protecting jobs from left-wing (Democrat the majority of the time) job killers.

  2. CBIA sells insurance to businesses. (Suckers)

---CBIA does a lot more than sell discounted health insurance and work-mans comp insurance (a pool of small businesses) to it's members. The CBIA is an organization that (alone in Connecticut unfortunately) fights for pro-business, job creating legislation in Connecticut as well as providing other services to it's members. It's a great organization managed and staffed by great people.

  5. Hey 12:17 Are you one of those bloodsucking suckers that bleed small businesses? No insurance sales no bloodsuckers.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'm a small business owner, and CBIA is a helpful organization. I've also found Hamzy to be helpful, and I like his way of thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Good for you! To each his own but my guess is that you sell insurance too!

    ReplyDelete
  8. No, 3:43, I don't sell insurance, but in my field I am required to buy insurance. So....what's your point?

Hamzy always stands up for conservative spending, and yes, in my view, that's much better than blowing taxpayer money.

  9. 4:44 Bull !!!!! You're just a typical republican (once again) Phony. I guess you just can't take your own crap! Oh well what's new?

Small business supports the CBIA, the GOP and Bill Hamzy. We don't support left-wing Dumb-o-crat, neo-commie, labor union loving morons like you and your like minded heroes.

    ReplyDelete
  11. 5:20 What is a typical Republican? If you mean some one who wants less taxation, wants less governmental intrusion in our lives, and has traditional values, then I'll accept that label.

Bill Hamzy stands for the things I want. His opponent sells makeup.

  12. Ho Hum There they go again. Namecalling when people don't get sucked in. Typical republicant's. Think the whole world relvolvesaround them. That's why they can't win. !!! Might as well do alittle "hatemongering" while you "phonies" are at it!

    ReplyDelete
  13. To 5:20...why do you say "bull"? You think Bill is a big spender? That's ridiculous. You'd better look across the aisle for that.

Why do "you" put quotations around some words you "say"?

I know, it's because you're an ignorant flunky who can barely write a coherent statment.

Oh and you think Republicans can't win? Watch Hamzy mop the floor with your donkey.

  15. Congrats to Bill on this endorsement. It is well-deserved.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Because it aggravates "Phonies" like you !

    ReplyDelete
  17. (Yawn) to your republican , hatemongering namecalling bores !!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'll kiss your elephant and you can kiss my donkey !!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. No thanks on the kisses,1:41, you'd better stick to blogging. Get serious and tell us why you don't like us "phony republicants." Maybe you'll win us over. Or maybe we can refute your reasons and win you over...and get you to vote for Hamzy.

    ReplyDelete
  20. KISSY KISSY ON THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES PART FOR SURE! SMOOOOOOCH EACH OTHER !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. 3:13 Not on your phony life. 3:13

    ReplyDelete
  22. 6:55....You phony hatemongering Democant, you probably would never vote for Hamzy. Go around thinking you're better than everyone else. No wonder you morons can't get a legitimate candidate to run against Hamzy.

    (wink, wink)

    ReplyDelete
  23. You got it! 9:47 See? We can be just as dumb as you. What's the matter run out of your own names to call people? We all know who the real phony is. Republicans aren't the only ones that can act stupid. Wink, Wink. to you too you sexist !!

    ReplyDelete
  24. If I were a hatemonger like the r's I would love the CBIA anti working folks people too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. CBIA is not "anti working folks." It's a pro-business organization. People who run their own small businesses work harder than anyone, and have the responsibility of employing others. They're the ultimate working folks.

    ReplyDelete
  26. 5:51, how do you get "sexist" out of that?

Anyway, I'm glad CBIA endorsed Hamzy. He's a great guy, and he's been recognized by the Democrats as some one they respect from the other party. And he doesn't vote for all the Democrats' big spending, so that says a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Right , he only votes party line. Just another republican lackey !

    ReplyDelete
  28. I don't agree on the lackey thing, but he votes against big spending, and that's what I'm looking for. And without an opponent, he's our guy.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I know you don't agree on anything unless you're a republican. But get used to it there are other thoughts on here besides yours and your republican wannabe dictators. We don't really care that you won't agree with cause you don't agree with us at all. He is a lackey if you look at his record. That's why you like him. You can sure dish it out but you can't take it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The CBIA could have endorsed Denski. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  31. Kissy, kissy .....wink, wink !!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. This endorsement should tell you who's corner Hamzy is in. Not working families that's for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Working families generally work for or own businesses. CBIA and Hamzy ARE in their corner. But Colapietro has proved time and time again that he is not.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yeah,Yeah, Yeah...same ol Colapietro haters on here. Can't even find an opponent for him. That's how far out of touch these boo Hooers are .

    ReplyDelete
  35. 9:38 Boy are you full of it ! CBIA has never been for working families. Just insurance companies!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Many working families around here work for insurance companies. Therefore, while CBIA supports insurance companies, it supports working families. CBIA helps other businesses too, and those businesses employ even more working families. People seem to forget that paychecks have to come from somewhere. If the businesses close up, the working families are no longer working, they're on unemployment. Remember those days, Tom?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Working families pay insurance companies though. Through the nose !

    ReplyDelete
  38. CBIA Connecticut Business and Industry Association. Where doe this say working families ?

You once again are showing your typical ignorance I am not Tom but I bet you wouldn't dare let him know what you are blaming him for nor let him know who you are. You are a typical of a Phony coward right Art? Alex? gary? And last but not least the great T.J .!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Beside working families don't belong to the CBIA only you money making leaches.

    ReplyDelete
  41. 9:39....see 10:27. It's not that hard to figure out.

    ReplyDelete
  42. 4:44 I know people are taxpayers too. And withouy their money you are an empty bloodsucker!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Congrats to Bill on this endorsement.

I don't know where this "anti-working families" nonsense comes from. Better businesses mean better wages and benefits for employees. Who could be against that?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Bull If you keep taking money away from the working families there won't be a business ! And they are anti working families!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Handing over paychecks is not taking money away from working families. But taxation on business cuts those paychecks. So vote No 'bama.

    ReplyDelete
  46. 8:21 Minimum wage? Get serious and you should work for minimum wage. You and the CBIA are a joke. Talk about money hungry !

    ReplyDelete
  47. 8:21 Cry all you want but the fact remains that you can't earn a dime if no one has any money. You ought to try earning it instead of conning people out of theirs.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Exactly the point 6:39, you can't earn a dime if you work for a business that is taxed to death. You'll be in the unemployment line.

Minimum wage is what it is. It is good for high school students starting out in the working world and looking for a little spending money. If you are twenty-five and still making only minimum wage, it's time to look in the mirror.
