CBIA ENDORSES WILLIAM HAMZY FOR STATE HOUSE SEAT 78TH DISTRICT – BRISTOL & PLYMOUTH
The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) today endorsed the re-election of William Hamzy for the state House of Representatives, representing the 78th District.
With the crisis in the financial markets further destabilizing the economy, and the state budget deficit rising, we need legislators now more than ever who will work to strengthen Connecticut’s economy and business climate.
“Bill exemplifies the leadership needed to revitalize our economy and move Connecticut forward,” said John R. Rathgeber, CBIA president and CEO. “He has the vision, experience and commitment needed to make our state a better place for all Connecticut residents."
Legislators elected to the 2009 General Assembly will face many critical issues, including job growth, health care, taxes, transportation, energy and workforce issues — all of which affect the health and vitality of Connecticut's economy and the quality of life for the people of the state.
“We encourage voters in the 78th District to re-elect Bill, who we believe will work to make decisions that will improve our economy and make Connecticut a better place to live and work,” said Rathgeber.
Hamzy, who lives in Terryville, is seeking election in the 78th District, which includes the towns of Bristol and Plymouth.

The CBIA is a great organization. It is pro-growth, protecting businesses and thus protecting jobs from left-wing (Democrat the majority of the time) job killers.

---CBIA does a lot more than sell discounted health insurance and work-mans comp insurance (a pool of small businesses) to it's members. The CBIA is an organization that (alone in Connecticut unfortunately) fights for pro-business, job creating legislation in Connecticut as well as providing other services to it's members. It's a great organization managed and staffed by great people.
