  1. Heard the mayor is clearing out of Dodge again to go support the boys. Good use of time and city resources.

  2. I think it's great that the mayor is supporting the Bristol Legion boys! I think Bristol will be okay if he takes a day or two off for the home team, and I'm not sure exactly what "city resources" you're speaking of. I do believe he paid for the trip out of his own pocket. I wish the Bristol Legion guys the best of luck in North Carolina!

  3. This is good news! We can listen to the games and root for the home team without being subjected to the maniacal rantings of Brad Carroll. Very good news indeed!

  4. What about the rest of Bristol's 60,000 people and countless other groups? I'm sure the mayor will be "taken good care of" while out in Legion town.

The Bristol legion boys don't need the mayor out there giving "support", they will do just fine without him.

  5. Doesn't Brad Carroll owe the coach of this team a BIG apology. Didn't he call for his resignation?

  8. 11:02 ~ You're sure the mayor will be "taken good care of" ??? Sounds like you're one of those anti-Ward people who'll find something to complain about no matter what the mayor does or doesn't do. He has a right to support the team if he feels like it, whether or not YOU approve.

  9. You're absolutely right 11:53. Mr. Carroll should be making a public apology right before he hands in his resignation.

  10. The fact that the team is doing well doesn't change the fact that the management of the team is very arrogant and needs an attitude adjustment. Amazing how winning can blind people to what's right and wrong.

  11. I'd say its pretty damn arrogant of you to say that the team management needs an "attitude adjustment." The gentlemen in question are tireless volunteers who bust their butts volunteering countless hours for the kids. For you (or Brad Carroll) to sit and pass judgment on them is the absolute height of arrogance. Amazing how some people are so blind to what's right and wrong indeed.

  12. I don't follow the Legion team much. I couldn't care less about the politics of it.

I'm amazed at how well they're doing.

    Go Bristol!
