"Resteraunt"
ReplyDelete-Who wrote this?
7:30 when? Today? Tomorrow? Friday?
ReplyDeleteWhat is a Resteraunt?
Steve
ReplyDeleteHow did you know it's Monday? The invitation doesn't say so - only your headline.
It's Monday night. I know that because Jerome's campaign manager, Brock Weber, told me in a message on my answering machine yesterday (assuming, of course, that saying "tomorrow" on Sunday indicates Monday).
ReplyDeleteDerek, you are off to a less than a good start.
ReplyDeleteHopefully it will get better.
All my aunts are hard-working people, none of them are Rester-aunts. Although while traveling south I've stayed overnight at my aunt's house near Philadelphia, so I guess that could be called a "rester-aunt" stop.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know the old "train station" across from Nuchies was available to the public. I thought Roberge Painting used that for their office (and is the owner as well).
I would suggest the self-declared "mensa" and GED graduate Jerome (one who's always quick to critique the work of others) proofread his press releases more carefully in the future.
If in fact Steve is correct in titling Brock Weber as his campaign manager, that would explain a lot. He is a child that is learning the ropes. Good for him, but Jerome should have someone double check his work before he sends it out.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, blame the HS kid who's supposedly running this doomed and already pathetic campaign.
ReplyDeleteBut is he "learning the ropes" or learning to spell? The buck needs to stop somewhere...else.
Since this was communicated over the phone would not the type be Steve's error?
ReplyDeleteThe invitation was sent by email.
ReplyDeleteTruthfully, had I noticed "Resteraunt" on the invite, I would have corrected it, because I like Brock. He's a nice young fellow.
ReplyDeleteI was more struck by the poor timing of the event, coming on a night when there are more important city meetings than you can shake a stick at. Many people who might have gone to the event, including me, will be elsewhere because it's a bad time for this thing.
Maybe he doesn't want people there.
ReplyDeleteWhile Brock is a nice kid, he does come with baggage.
But more important, he doesn't live in the district, hardly knows the district, which leads me to believe that someone else will be pulling the strings.

ReplyDeleteBrock "comes with baggage"? WTF are you talking about? Actually I don't want to know. He's a friggen' teen-ager for Christmas sake! You must be as well or else you're a just a small town piece of turd.
Brock, you're an asset to the community, an asset to the GOP, an asset to this pathetic liberal state and a great American. God bless you!
Steve, thanks for sticking up for Brock.
ReplyDeleteTypos happen all the time, and to everyone. When in a rush something could very well get mispelled. Cut the kid a break he has been involved in Bristol politics for years and has served the community and his party in many ways, simple mistakes happen to everyone. Let it go and move on.
ReplyDeleteI give Brock a lot of credit for stepping up to the plate and volunteering his time. He is showing more courage than most of the adults in the politics game around here.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he will learn a lot during this campaign season. This was his first lesson - a second set of eyes should always see what you release to the media BEFORE you release it.
It's the morning after now. We can all rest assured that the Bristol GOP is preserving democracy for us all. We are indebted to you.
ReplyDeleteIs a "Brock" the same as a "Crock"? Like the "people"? on this blog?

ReplyDeleteMy post at 8:54 AM was facetious.
...but my 2:26 post was 100% serious.
ReplyDeleteGet off this kids rear end or yours will be toast.
6:50 OOOOOOOOOOOO you are scary !! Like fighting with a ghoust ! You're just another phony !!!
ReplyDeleteIf "Crock" can't take the heat get out of the kitchen, After all his friends are the kings of "heat".
ReplyDeleteWho's gonna make toast? A ghoust ? LOL

ReplyDeleteKeep talkin'. You're gonna get yours...sooner than you think.
You talk big ....are you ???? I'm so scared.
ReplyDeleteDerek is running for office again? This is starting to become a comedy sitcom.
